Build and perform end-to-end ownership of backend infrastructure, including distributed data stores, data processing pipelines, and high-performance front end servers. Ship code multiple times a day, while owning the testing, automating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of features/product. Analyze systems, infrastructure, and tooling to optimize for better performance. Process the terabytes of data received by servers in order to better understand users, system requirements and capabilities, and help design solutions to increase the efficiency of platform. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with stake holders on requirements and respond with deliverables in agile methodology for frequent releases. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience, employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any position/occupation/job title performing backend infrastructure engineering.
