Staff Data Scientist (Product), Hinge Health, Inc, San Francisco, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the US (up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Drive product strategy and roadmaps through analysis and prioritization frameworks. Lead end-to-end product space experimentation including design, power analysis, set-up, execution, and analysis (leveraging advanced experimentation techniques such as CUPED, winsorization, Bonferroni correction, paired sampling, and clustering). Work with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to build data models and ensure accurate/efficient ingestion and transformation of required datasets. Build descriptive and predictive models leveraging Machine Learning methods to create member profiles or predict user behavior/outcomes. Architect and implement new instrumentation with Engineering to accurately measure product spaces. Work with scientific computing languages (R / Python) and SQL. Leverage statistical and analytical concepts (e.g. regressions, A/B testing, clustering, probability, attribution, segmentation) to business problems and adapt/combine approaches to suit the problem at hand. Develop predictive modals for user engagement and segmentation analysis. Build AI-driven self-serve data tooling for stakeholders such as Glean analysis repositories. Leverage AI to architect and develop productionalize code and conduct ad-hoc analyses. Utilize SQL, Query-based analysis, Business Intelligence/data visualization tools, data quality assurance, KPI operational reporting. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related and three (3) years of experience as a Data Scientist or related. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of progressive experience as a Data Scientist or related. Three (3) years of experience must include utilizing SQL, Query-based analysis, Business Intelligence/data visualization tools, data quality assurance, KPI operational reporting. $202,043 to $251,712 per year.
