This project will span multiple counties in California's Central Valley. The Phase 1 work includes an approximate 2-foot raise to correct deficient portions of the canal embankment, raising the top of the concrete canal lining to restore design capacity, and modifying associated embankment structures such as turnouts, drain inlets, and shoulder drains to accommodate the embankment and concrete lining raises. The project is intended to restore canal capacity, address the impact of subsidence on the canal's capacity, and ensure the long-term reliability of Central Valley Project water deliveries. This project is supported by a combination of local, state and federal funding.
