Project Labor Requirements: Prevailing Wage, Certified Payroll, Skilled and Trained Workforce as defined in Chapter 2.9 (Section 2600et seq.) of the Public Contract Code. There is a Project Labor Agreement that governs trades affiliated with The San Francisco Building & Construction Trades Council. S+B James is signatory to the Carpenters and Laborers Union. All scopes under Carpenters and Laborers must use labor from respective unions.
Contractor Pre-Qualification: Any MEP contractor seeking a subcontract must be prequalified pursuant to Education Code section 17406(a)(2)(C) and Public Contract Code section 20111.6(b) through (m). An "MEP Contractor" is one who will perform work that requires one of the following classes of license: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C- 43, or C-46. SFUSD uses PQ Bids to prequalify contractors ( https://go.pqbids/com/ ). Prequalification must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the RFQ/P due date and approved at least five (5) business days in advance of the bid date.
