The NPI Engineer is responsible for providing technical, hands-on knowledge and support for all aspects of mfg. transfer operations. Must also have 12 months of exp. with each of the following: (1) develop and implement robust, cost-effective mfg. processes and improve product flow and product quality and safety performance for both sustained and new products; (2) lead creation of mfg. process validation plans, validation protocols and reports, and implement mfg. process validations and test method validations; (3) prepare document change orders and coordinate the implementation of changes including training production staff; (4) troubleshoot designs and processes when defects occur, lead investigation to determine root cause, and implement effective containment and counter measures; and (5) utilize lean mfg. tools for continuously improve the flow of material and information including assembly line layouts, visual management, 5S, JIT, and Kanbans to increase mfg. efficiencies, reduce takt time, improve floor space utilization, and minimize indirect support and overhead.
