LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (Oakland, CA) JOB DUTIES: Produce, review and edit diagrams, design sketches, renderings, model and graphics for design exploration and presentation materials. Oversees the production of construction documents including creating grading and drainage designs based on hydraulic analysis. Prepare permitting documents. Lead project management with feedback from partners and senior associates including with Master Planning projects over 50 acres in size which includes public landscape and residential development. Designing water feature and drainage system designs, and coordinating/directing contractors, civil engineers on drain size, grading, flow rate, and aesthetics based on hydraulics and hydrology analysis. Review financial sustainability of project budgets and meet delivery deadlines of design goals. Manage the work of designers and subconsultants’ research, code compliance and graphic standards. Support client relationships, develop proposals, act as project liaison and lead communications to build networks and support the Principals in marketing and business development efforts. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a master degree in landscape architecture or related field/discipline (or foreign equivalent) plus 3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture including grading & drainage design with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
